1. Read / Review
CITE’s Artifact Design Task Guidelines — these spell out the expectations for your work this summer.
If you have any questions about these expectations, you can share them on our Q and A forum, or join us for tech help sessions on Mondays. See our calendar for the call links.
2. Tinker with last year’s artifact data
Download this file, which contains a data analysis activity to help you explore CUNY faculty’s artifacts from 2022. Start by reading carefully through the Instructions tab (bottom left of the Excel window).

We recognize that many of you may not be comfortable with Excel, so we recorded a video that steps through the file and models a little bit of tinkering. We encourage you to watch it if you are feeling hesitant.
3. Read / Review
Check out this Padlet library of design process resources. It shares approaches to design including Speculative Design, Design Thinking for Educators, design for Viral Justice, Liberatory Design, and more.
